The Baptism registers contain records not only for this chapel (Standishgate) but also for others in the circuit. Two of the books overlap in date (1837 - 1860 and 1849 - 1862), and the latter register says on its cover page "see also other book '37 - '60". It is not clear if one register had been intended to remain at Standishgate, with the other being taken around the circuit by the licensed minister, but there does not appear to be a clear separation between the two books on this basis; the headers of some pages in both books refer to the 'chapels of Wigan Circuit'.
