25 Feb 1855 The Steeple on fire this day. No Service Performed. Caused by wood getting on fire in the flue. 3 of the Bells Boiled.

Caused a new Peal to be cast by Mears of London.

[The Mears family owned the Whitechapel Bell Foundry from 1781-1865 and traded under a number of names]
