To develop the transcription of Standish parish records the following sources were consulted. This will allow follow up and correction if ever required. Before doing this, it is recommended to contact the Online Parish Clerk for detail and assistance. Many of the records were in poor shape and Bishop's Transcripts and other sources were assessed to determine the original entry.

St. Wilfrid's parish records come from LDS film # 1526140 and 1526141

Bishop's Transcript's (BT's) from 1740 onwards come from LDS Film# 1068751 BT's before 1740 come from LDS Film # 1068841

The BT's from before 1740 are very patchy and incomplete. Here is list of what was filmed and exists:

1611, 1616, 1620, 1623, 1627, 1630-33, 1636-7, 1639, 1641, 1662-5, 1668-70, 1671? 1672-86 and 1691-8.

1701, 1708 to Mar 1711, Oct 1711 to March 1712, 1713 to 1739
Not all of these were legible or could be used reliably.
