The District of Churchtown, Southport in the County of -- Lancashire --

The first church in the area was St Cuthbert's, in the original parish of North Meols, this area and the surrounding cluster of houses became known as Churchtown and was the main meeting places for all the communities in the area. For many years it was the most populated part of the area.
