Ancestor Search Function

This page offers an entry point to the Lancashire OnLine Parish Clerks Ancestor Search Function. The Registers which may be viewed complete in the appropriate Parish may also be searched with a flexible selection of parameters,

The Search Function opens a new browser window and all searches are conducted in that window.

A Search is focused on a chosen Parish, where that search may be refined to search individual establishments within the Parish, the whole Parish or expanded to cover the whole County.

Help for the operation of the Search Function may be obtained by clicking the 'Help' link in the Table of Contents to the left.

Entry to the Search Function is by clicking the 'Parishes' link in the Table of Contents to the left, which displays the list of Parishes with searchable Registers. From this list, the Parish of focus may be selected.

The number of records available for a Parish is displayed along side the Parish name. Clicking this link lists the individual Registers for that Parish with dates and number of entries.
