By Resignation of Fees by the Vicar of Preston leaving date October 13 1868, the Chapelry District of St James Preston became a separate Parish & a Vicarage

 
By Order of Her Majesty in Council on the 14th day of April, 1869, the right of presentation and appointment to the Church of St Saviour, Preston was confirmed to the Vicar of St James, and his successors for ever.
