The church of St. Michael, built in 1200 and re-erected in 1731, is a building of stone in the Classic style, consisting of chancel with north aisle, nave of five bays, south aisle, vestry and an embattled western tower containing 8 bells, dated 1806: in 1877 the church was restored, and in 1887 the tower was re-built and the bells re-hung, and a clock with two dials was given by Miss Newton, of Holly House. The register dates from the year 1562.
