St. Bridget's Church, Bagot St. Wavertree
1872 - 1976

The foundation stone of the church was laid on the 21st Sep 1868 by the Reverend Augustus Campbell and it was consecrated in 1872. It was for many years a Chapel of Ease to Holy Trinity Church, Church Road Wavertree. The name 'Chapel of Ease' refers to a consecrated building in aid of the parish church to which building a separate district has not been assigned. A separate ecclesiastical parish was constituted in 1901.
