Died 17^th March 1802 in his 20th year, at St. Vincent’s, West Indies.

BRETHERTON Humphrey Edward

Died 23^rd April 1840 in his 21^st year.

Eldest son of William Bretherton died in Paris and interred in the cemetery at Mont Parnasse.

Erected by Captain Sir Robert BARRIE, R.N. caused this tablet to the memory of a Mother so deservedly endeared and to perpetuate the gratitude he feels to that parental guardian and Friend who affectionately supplied the place of the Father lost.
