Trinity Wesleyan Methodist was founded in 1828 and was originally located in Market St, moving to Manchester Road in 1867. That building was later demolished and replaced by the smaller one shown above. This was in turn subject to a compulsory purchase order, and in 2008 the congregations of Trinity and Moorside churches transferred together into a new building in Dunkirk St, where they were later joined by the congregation of Abbey Hey. |
