St Peter’s church at Finsthwaite was built in1724, then rebuilt in 1873-4 to a design by Architects Austin & Paley of Lancaster who are responsible for a number of churches in the area.
The parish of Finsthwaite also includes Lakeside, Plumb Green and Stott Park.
