    In 1894, Stakes Hall Mission was built in Mill Hill; until then St Francis was the nearest church.
    In 1895, it transferred to new premises and became known as St Francis Mission.
    The foundation Stone was laid in 31 August 1895 by J Rutherford MP
    In 1926 it was called St Aidan's Mission; this was later replaced when St Aidan's Church was built in 1931/32
