Stamford St Methodist New Connexion
This Church was founded before 1794 as a Wesleyan Methodist Church and in 1797 became known as the Methodist New Connexion. In 1907 it merged with the United Methodist Free Church and the Bible Christians to become The United Methodist Church. Another merger with the Primitive, United and Wesleyan Methodists, led to the formation of The Methodist Church of Great Britain in 1932. |
